This album represents the first tracks recorded under Brown\u2019s leadership.<\/p>\n Clifford Brown and Max Roach<\/a><\/p>\n Known as perhaps the definitive bop group until Mr. Brown\u2019s fatal automobile accident in 1956, this album was critically well received and includes two notable tracks that have since become jazz standards. <\/p>\n Study in Brown<\/a><\/p>\n Most notabe to trumpeters here is Brown\u2019s solo on \u201cCherokee\u201d which is widely considered among the most acclaimed solos in the history of jazz.<\/p>\n
