“Selections from 80 Studies Op.32” by Hans Sitt has been adapted by me for trumpet from Sitt’s world famous 5 book series for the violin. This collection says “Selections” but includes just shy of all 80 studies, only a few were removed because they were not applicable to brass playing. Generally, transcriptions are insanely difficult, but in this case, these studies work so well on the trumpet you will think they were original. They have the added endurance element that a string study would supply, but they also have a beautiful melodious nature that is welcome in our repertoire.
