Yesterday was a very interesting livestream with Omar Tomasoni, principal trumpet player of the Concertgebouworkest. It seems to me we think the same about many topics. That’s great because we both teach trumpet at the same school in Amsterdam…?
Anyway here he talks about practicing difficult passages and gives an example with the trumpet solo from Stravinsky’s Petrouchka. I wrote out this nice melody and the simple version of it. I can recommend to watch the whole stream. Next week is with Miroslav Petkov, also a great player!
