I’ve been busy this summer arranging well known jazz standards from the Real Book for this serie of 3 volumes. I had lot’s of fun writing them and hope you will have even more fun playing them!

It took me a very long time to get this duet for 2 flugelhorns finished, the ending of the song was very hard to get it right. Today I recorded 3 ballads on flugelhorn for my project with jazz standards: A Child Is Born, The Shadow Of Your Smile & In A Sentimental Mood. The sound isn't always great, I think I didn't get the levels right but anyway, it's only a demo to check the arrangement…? Here is the original score I started with.

Cotton Tail is great composition by Duke Ellington and challenging to play for 2 trumpets. Here another duet I wrote this morning for my project with only jazz standards.
