Today was a very special day for me because I visited the Van Laar shop for the first time after Hub’s death just before Christmas.
Yannic invited me to test the new trumpets he made this month. He was already working for more then 10 years in the shop and Hub learned him everything about building great trumpets.
I was very happy to test these new B serie trumpets and 1 Oiram I. They sounded as vibrant as ever and were very easy to play. That’s not strange because Yannic made many horns last year with Hub’s supervision.
So I’m very positive about the future of the shop, Hub’s legacy is not lost and will live on for many years to come thanks to Heidrun, Yannic and the rest of the team!
