This listing is for the fourth in a 5 book series of play alongs in all styles for trumpet. Each book has a mixture of originals and arrangements, each tune is in a completely different style, and each book is a collection of solos appropriate to a specific level of playing ability.
18 Play-Alongs in All Styles Level 4 is meant for intermediate players who have developed a good sense of rhythm and technique, do not yet have much of a high range, and are looking to work on stylistic soloing. In this book we see solos making their way up to a G or A above the stuff a few times, with more complex rhythms like sixteenth notes and triplet quarter notes. We also see more inflections, like grace notes and bends, and with the addition of Erik’s great demo recordings students are able to imitate his inflection and sense of style with ease.
